On-site

This course is suitable for people who work with or look after children and babies. It is designed to cover a wide range of first aid situations when looking after children and babies.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework requires all early years’ providers in England to have at least one person who has a current and full paediatric first aid certificate on the premises and available at all times when children are present.

By arrangement the course can be run on non consecutive days, for example, 1 day a week over 2 weeks also evenings or weekends.

 

Individuals

This course is for anyone who has responsibility for caring of children and babies; including parents, guardians, grandparents or people who have a professional involvement with children and babies.

Assessment

  • Candidates are assessed at the end of the course. Upon successful completion certification is valid for 3 years.
  • Under current guidelines it is strongly recommended that paediatric first aid trained staff attend a half day refresher every 12 months, before completing full requalification training at the 3 year point.
